Clearing out my ARCs. You want one?

I admit it: I like to wear pink shirts and my silver toe ring and, yes, I asked for a paraffin spa kit last Christmas, but I'll have you know that I rarely squeal like a girl. Until yesterday. Because that's when I opened an envelope from my editor to find the very first copy of The Accidental Demon Slayer - hot off the presses. There's nothing like that first book. In print. With a shiny silver title.

And to celebrate, I'm going to clear off the 'ole ARC shelf. You want one? I have three left. Just tell me about a time in your life when you had one of those "squee" moments. The contest runs a week and when the ARCs are gone, they're gone!

This is going to be so much fun. I can tell already. Major squees for those preggo tests and wow, I can't even imagine the squee moment when hubby comes home from a mission. And, yes, books in the mail...

These are great. Keep 'em coming!

Oh dear, so many squeeeeeees to choose from

When the eldest monster was accepted at CalTech with full scholarship was one.

When the youngest monster talked her way into a summer premed program (in Alaska) for HS juniors and seniors, being a freshman herself, was another.

There have been more, but those are two biggies.

I highly recommend Angie's book, I couldn't put it down, had to stay up late to finish it. Naughty girl cost me a nights sleep, but it was worth it.
She needed a big slime monster though, perhaps in the sequel we could see lots of slime? lol.

I know I squee'd when my babies came out.(the last couple months of pregnancy were rough times),the best was seeing my husband's face when he held the babies for the first time. :D

I agree with Nas on the book, especially when I've been waiting for a book to release and finally get it in my hands.Yee-ah!
Hugs, Danette

My biggest squee moments were the birth of my son and then my granddaughter and me getting my degree.

My major squee moments were the birth of each my five children. It was so amazing and knowing that you hold that little one's future in your hands.
I, also, had a squee moment when my two grandchildren were born. I could not believe that my babies had babies now...and even more of a squee moment was that they were born eight days apart. Today is my granddaughter's birthdy...also, my husbands.

Another one was when my second oldest daughter got her diploma. This was so great because we had some tough times there for awhile...she got pregnant in high school, but stayed in school and graduated and actually walked. My oldest daughter chose not to walk to get her diploma.

Sorry for so many squee moments.

My latest big Squee moment was when my brother came home after being deployed out to Iraq for little more then a year. There was a while when he lost contact with me and I have to tell you that with the news always reporting bad things on the war, it was pretty desvistating at that point but I was hoping like mad that nothing bad had happened. Turns out my brother and his base had been cut off for a while but nothing terrible happened thankfully. And about two months ago, my brother finally touched back down in the US whole and unharmed.

Um, when they added "manicotti formaggio" back to the menu at the Olive Garden? (We single gals don't get as many squeeing moments, I guess).
Actually, when I was accepted into graduate school AND offered a fellowship, I not only squeed but called everybody I knew and jumped up and down like a maniac. I also only got five hours of sleep that night; little did I know that, once I was in grad school, five hours would seem like a lot!

Besides finding out I was pregnant with first Daughter and then Son? (And of course any good thing they've done.) The day my Hubs Bachelor's degree arrived and we opened it. I was so proud of him and he worked so hard. (With some help. *G*) Another squee moment, when we bought my Jeep this year, I'd always wanted one! (It's not new, but to me it's great!)

Oh, I get excited when books I'm waiting to read come in!

Oh I remember one of my biggest squee moments was my first summer away from my then boyfriend, now hubby, when I got the very first letter in the summer from him. Can you imagine when I'd go to the mailbox and I'd find 3 to 4 letters each week from him! No one could soften the excitement every time I got one!!! We just had our 25th anniversary last month and that too was a squee moment!
