Dangerous Book Giveaway

I'm glad to announce that the galleys for The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers are in! That means no more tweaking, no more goofing, no more fiddling around (and I love to do all three - especially with a finished manuscript). It also means the production folks at my publisher are probably tossing left over Christmas rum balls at my book covers at some of the smaller word changes. But every word, every description does make a difference. Right?

If not, well, just nod and smile. Humor me. The galleys are gone anyway. Which means that for the first time, I can release the first chapter of The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers. Yay! In this book, Lizzie is determined to take charge.

Here's the blurb:
Accidental demon slayer Lizzie Brown and her grandma's coven of biker witches have rolled into Sin City to take out a super-sexy succubus who has her eye on world domination-and worse, Lizzie's man. Coming April 28, 2009.

And to celebrate, I'm giving away a Kiss My Asphalt t-shirt, like the one Lizzie's biker witch grandma wears in The Accidental Demon Slayer. Leave a comment and you're entered. The contest runs all week.

You guys are going to flip for The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers. It is a crackup. It is just as wild and original as the first, and also deeply touching.

I'm lucky, I got to read it early. :)

Angie I finally got your book back from a friend and re-read it on the weekend. I love Pirate, I must admit he's my favourite character and he really deserves love. I mean come on, he's loyal and can smell a piece of salami out from 200 metres.
So when are the ARC's coming out and what do we need to do to win a copy? lol. Congrats on your new book.

Aw, thanks guys! This series is a blast to write. It was hard to let go of those galleys yesterday, but at least I get to work on book 3 in the mean time. :)

yeah I can't wait. I loved Accidental Demon Slayer. I am dying to know what the effects of bring back Dimitri are??? Hints are good.

Congratulations on your second book. I loved The Accidental Demon Slayer. Now that I know the release date I will have a hard time waiting until April! Please keep these stories coming :-)

Great question, marniebelle. You're the first reader to ask that. Of course that means now I'm trying to figure out how to answer it without a spoiler.

I suppose the best hint is that what she did to Dimitri opens up a pathway that he'd rather not explore. And, no, he's not a demon slayer, but it does affect him.

And thanks, KarlaAnn. I was just fiddling with book 3 this afternoon. It's a lot of fun. Right now, I'm calling it A Tale of Two Demon Slayers. That could change, though. Publishers love to switch up book titles. So far, I've kept the titles to my first two books, which is rare. I wonder if three's the charm. ;)

I loved The Accidental Demon Slayer. I'm trying to get my husband to read it since we are a biker family. What more can you ask for other than bikers and crazy witches and demon slayers.

Sounds great. :)

That's great that you come from a biker family, Carmen. Tell me - have you run into any biker dogs?

And thanks to everyone for the awesome comments. The books - and the blog - are a lot of fun.

Hey Angie, Yes I have meet many biker dogs and even a few cats. My Chihuahua named Rage rides with my husband and I from time to time. When she was just a baby I would put her into a crown royal bag once we got to which ever event we went too. She would hang off of my belt and stick her little head out of the bag to look at everything. Everyone thought it was so cute so I made her a jacket out of a crown royal bag since she is big enough to walk around the events with us now.

Angie Fox said...

Oh that is priceless. I think Rage might just need to show up in a Demon Slayer book somewhere down the road.

Carmen R said...

That would be so cool.I will have to try and find a picture of her in her bag to send you.

I've not read The Accidental Demon Slayer, though I've only heard good things about it. I just haven't gotten my hot little hands on it just yet. LOL
Congrats on Dangerous!

Yes, Carmen - do send a picture when you get the chance. A Chihuahua named Rage is cute enough, but put that puppy in a Crown Royal bag and you have the ultimate biker dog.

Angie Fox said...

No kidding, Amber? Thanks! That is really neat (she says, straightening up our Wicked campfire and adding another log to the fire).

Angie Fox said...

Thanks, Deidre. This series has been so much fun. I can't believe the second one is almost out.
